Adult figures from left to right: JWJ Land, his wife Amanda, their children Marvin, Martha, and Homer. The two smaller girls are also children. From left to right: Lois and Dessie
From this family group we end up with the large family tree that meets yearly at Sharp Mountain for a reunion. Everyone in this photo is now gone.
JWJ was known as James or Jim. If I had known him I would have called him "Pa Jim". I was able to know his wife, Amanda. All of us great-grandkids called her Granny. In the picture my grandfather, Marvin, is standing next to Amanda.
This picture was taken at the Coker Farm. Before they lived on the Land property on Marvin Land Lane the family resided at Coker Farm. Then they moved to the Hasty Place near where the sawmill used to be on East Cherokee Lane, and finally they moved to the Land Property.
